Something is off. You feel stuck and as though you are just floating through life. Sleepless nights, gray days, and numbness have become your norm. You know you want more and can have it, you just can’t seem to get out of this rut. That is where I come in. I walk alongside you as you overcome your challenges and begin to step into the life you want.

Hi, I’m Amanda Almendarez and I am so happy that you took the brave first step of looking for help and landing on my page. Working with me will look like a supportive, collaborative, and judgment-free environment. Your safe place.

I am passionate about working with clients coping with domestic violence, sexual abuse and trauma, loss/grief, depression, and anxiety. I primarily use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which is just a fancy way of saying the methods that I use are backed by a ton of research.

Making the first step towards therapy can be anxiety-provoking. This is why I am always available to discuss and answer any questions you may have in advance. I look forward to us working together.

Amanda has already provided me plenty of tools which I think about on a daily basis. I feel hopeful that I can change my brain over time to have these tools more ingrained. She is very responsive, a good listener, and really knows how to navigate challenging life situations. I feel hopeful and I did not have high hopes before meeting her, but she has exceeded my expectations.
