Brooke Knowles, LPC, LMHC
About me
At this time I can only offer chat and live chat sessions. I’m not available for live video or live phone sessions.
My name is Brooke. I know looking for a counselor can be an overwhelming process and I’m glad you’re taking the first step! I’m a licensed mental health counselor in Florida, and a licensed professional counselor in Georgia and South Carolina. I got my bachelor’s degree from San Diego State University and my master’s degree from Capella University. I am originally from California, but I love traveling and I have lived in various parts of the country.
I will provide a safe environment for you to discuss any fears or concerns you may have. Having worked as an addictions counselor I have heard almost everything, and there is nothing you can say that will shock me. Things are kept confidential.
I have experience with depression, anxiety, panic attacks, eating disorders, and substance abuse/ addition. I have also worked with families of addicts and alcoholics. I believe that therapy is a collaboration between the therapist and the client. I want to work with you to help you reach your goals. I use a variety of approaches including person centered, motivational interviewing, and cognitive behavioral. I tailor my therapeutic approach to what works for you, because no two people are the same and not every approach is effective with every person.
I do not consider myself a religious or spiritual person. I have no problem working with people who are religious and spiritual, but if you are looking for a counselor who will pray with you during sessions or go over bible verses, then unfortunately I won't be able to provide that knowledge or expertise. If you want to talk about religion or prayer then I can listen, but I won't have much insight to offer when it comes to religion.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Brooke Knowles. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I am comfortable communicating with Brooke, and I have felt that her replies and questions have been quite insightful and useful so far. Since I have so far preferred written communication I can’t speak with any accuracy about scheduling or having in-person sessions - but I would feel comfortable asking her and I feel confident that if I made the request Brooke would be accommodating.
