Chelsea Davis, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has been practicing since 2019. I have a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and a Masters' of Social Work degree from Clarke University. I completed internships at a sexual assault and domestic violence advocacy center, a homeless shelter and food pantry, a courthouse shadowing the Victim Witness Coordinator, and at a community mental health center. I worked at a community mental health center from 2020 until 2024, as well as working in the school setting as a school social worker.
I have experience in helping clients with a broad spectrum of concerns. Some of these areas are: relationship issues, family conflicts, anxiety, depression, anger management, identity concerns, trauma and abuse, & intimacy related issues. This is not a set list but only some of the targeted areas of expertise.
Mental health and advocacy have become my passions. I have honed these passions through my educational experiences, internships, volunteer experiences, research projects, and my own personal life experiences. I want to use all these skills to help advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves and make our world a little better, one person at a time. As a person and therapist I aspire to have empathy. Not just empathy, but authentic empathy with the ability to dance between validation and challenging. I work with my clients to meet them where they are at in their journey and create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment.
I hope to be able to help support you through you mental health journey and look forward to working with you!
Thank you,
Chelsea Davis, LCSW

Chelsea listened intently to me and offered empathic and mindful advice to help guide me on my journey. She made me feel validated and seen and also pushed me to think critically about the source of my feelings. I would highly recommend her.
