Christine Gemberling, LISW
About me
Hello! I have over 10 years of experience as a Licensed Independent Social Worker, with my supervision designation. My experience includes counseling in areas of grief and loss, life changes, chronic illness, anxiety, depression and much more. I believe that talk therapy is most effective when an established and trusting therapeutic bond is formed. My approach is driven by client needs and I often utilize an integrated approach with multiple modalities including CBT, mindfulness, person-centered, supportive and strengths based therapies. I try my best to choose my words with clients and to help them find insight into their own words and behaviors.
"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it."- Albus Dumbledore
When I am not counseling clients, I teach at a local university in the social work program and provide license supervision to new social workers.

Christine has helped me through the hardest time of my life. She’s compassionate and easy to talk to, like a friend. She’s responsive to all my messages so I never feel alone between sessions. And she helps me make a game plan that I feel confident in for my journey. I’m so grateful to be able to work with Christine.

Christine listens, validates, supports and challenges. I so appreciate her feedback and the space to process with someone who can catch my thinking errors and helps me correct them.
