Cindia Arsenault , LCSW
About me
As a 3 year Rhode Island licensed clinical social worker, I am bicultural and bilingual, fluent in Haitian-Creole. I am uniquely qualified to help adults and families from various ethic & cultural backgrounds. I have experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, relationship issues, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion.
My philosophy of working is that we all have an innate ability to cope with and overcome areas of life that we find difficult. Together, we will discover how you can tap into your inborn healing capacities to create the change you are seeking.
I believe that the power of change comes from within, one can only overcome life challenges in a supportive therapeutic environment . The therapeutic environment is a safe space to allow people the opportunity to foster growth and affect change in their daily pursuits.
While I have extensive experience helping clients with depression, anxiety, trauma & other painful conditions, I also offer specialized treatment for those seeking healing & recovery from sexual addiction/compulsivity, love & romance addiction, attachment disorders & other problematic behavior patterns involving relationships.
My clients describe me as empathetic & caring while also highly effective at facilitating positive growth & transformation in their lives. All sexual orientations/gender identities welcome.
Drawing upon a solid foundation of postgraduate psychoanalytic education & other clinical training, my therapeutic approach is determined by your own individual needs & specific situation. When appropriate, I combine an interactive, psychodynamic orientation with such diverse methodologies as cognitive-behavioral, dialectic behavioral therapy & Inner Child work.
When we talk, our focused time will help you think about what you want to be different and better in your life. Worried about being “stuck in therapy” or spending hours re-hashing your childhood? Don’t be. We’ll work together for as long (or as little) as you find useful. If this resonates with you and you are ready for change. Let's talk and figure it all out!!
