About me

I am an experienced Psychotherapist accredited by the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society in the UK, and the International Society of Psychotherapy and Counselling.

I specialise in treating trauma (including PTSD/complex PTSD), depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder and OCD. I also work with clients with Dissociative Identity Disorder, Eating Disorders, complex Grief, and a range of other conditions.

I also have expertise in empowering clients to find fulfilment in life, whether that be in relationships, career, or facing chronic illness or life limiting conditions. Meaning and purpose are vital in helping us reach our full potential and to navigate life's difficulties.

My therapy style is is informal and interactive, and as you would expect, non-judgemental. There can even be laughter in sessions, as I believe that humour is vital in exploring who we are, and what is important in life.

My approach combines Logotherapy & Existential Analysis (talking therapy with a wide-range of applications), and EMDR Therapy (a gold-standard therapy for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, but also effective in treating depression, anxiety, etc).

I will tailor our sessions and treatment plan to meet your unique circumstances and your desired outcome. This may change over time and that's why I very much appreciate your feedback throughout, after all good therapy is a partnership.

I know how difficult it can be to reach out to a therapist, but by doing so you are making a positive step towards realising a better future.

If you are ready to reach out, I am here to do everything I can to support and empower you.

I look forward to working with you!

Dr Paddie understands that toxic positivity is a big problem. I find that important to know.

Dr Scott is terrific. I really appreciate his gentle approach but I don’t find this too informal. I have found our time so useful. I’ve really valued being able to send notes in the form of journals and being able to discuss them later, without having to remember that I have made the notes, even. Dr Scott is an open person who is really dedicated to, and gifted at, his work.

I could not recommend Dr Scott enough! Every session has helped me become more confident, hopeful and has changed my outlook on life to a point where I feel ready to take anything on. It was really reassuring to work with someone who has so much experience and insight and his great sense of humour and nonjudgmental attitude made navigating difficult topics a lot easier.
