About me
My name is Emily Dixon and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Through my 14+ years of experience, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide variety of populations. I have worked with Foster/Adoptive Families, Teenagers, Senior Adults, Families/Blended Families and Young Children.
Furthermore, I have worked with issues related to depression, anxiety, grief/loss, parenting difficulties, life changes and autism. I offer individual, child, couple and family counseling. I use a variety of therapeutic techniques to include cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused, mindfulness, holistic and motivational. I will offer a supportive, objective, judgement-free environment for my clients. You can expect me to offer compassion and open-mindedness.
I have personal life experience with grief and loss, divorce, parenting and being part of a blended family. I look forward to being a safe space for you as you begin your journey of gaining deeper insight and healing.
