Erica Vari, LCSW
About me
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the state of Pennsylvania with certifications in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Work at Long Island University (Brooklyn Campus) and my graduate degree in social work at New York University. Fun fact: I have a background in fine arts as I have attended specialized art schools throughout childhood and early adulthood.
I have had 6+ years experience working in private practice, helping clients with various mental health issues. I currently specialize in anxiety, LGBTQ+ issues, depression, trauma, and life transitions/stressors.
While I have had experience working with people of all ages, I have a love for working with the younger adult population.
I believe in person-centered work where I will work with you, one on one to achieve your personal therapeutic goals based on your needs. Utilizing your strengths, you will be able to gain positive and individualized coping mechanisms to combat negative self-talk.
I tend to utilize in ACT, CBT, MBSR, Psychodynamic, Psychoeducation, Stress management and Art Therapy directives in sessions, however therapy is not a one size fit all. You and I will work together in finding the right treatments and coping mechanisms suited for you and your therapeutic goals!
I look forward to working with you!
