Hi there! Way to go on taking a beginning step to achieve one of your many goals in life.
My name is Ivy and I have worked with people my entire life. I found that as a child, I was able to meet people and understand where they came from in a way that not many people could. As an adult, I have been able to develop that into a career. There is always a story that begins with "when I was a child", and mine is no different. When I was a child, I was faced with many different problems and situations that I felt that no one in the world could understand. I tried many different things in an effort to get my own life on track without letting anyone else know that I was struggling. As you may or may not know, this is not always the best option. However, what this did was that it lead me down a path of being able to walk in the shoes of other people; to see things as they see things.
I have experience working with families who are involved in the child care system, both as foster parents and as clients involved in the system. I have experience with individuals who are questioning where they are in life and where they want to be. I have experience, helping people feel like people again. The way that I chose to work with individuals is that everyone is an individual and everyone lives their lives through a day to day schedule. I believe in checking in and allowing you to tell me what you need and what you want. What do you feel like you need today; what about yesterday. Can we plan for tomorrow? Do you need me to listen or do you need me to respond? Would it be helpful for a brainstorming partner or someone who can take all that emotional weight you have and take it off your back for a while?
My work is not based upon a single method of thinking or processing, but rather whatever combination you need. I believe that even if you don't believe in your own ability to help yourself right now, it is there, and together we can make a difference and a change that you can continue to use and implement long after we are no longer working together.

Ivy has been absolutely awesome. She is the first therapist I have had in my life, and has exceeded all of my expectations thus far. In our first video call, she was able to pin point the main topics that caused me to seek out therapy and has been attentive with reaching out/communicating ever since. I originally had the goal to try out therapy/better help for a month to get a feel for it, and because of Ivy I have decided to stick with it. I am excited to continue my journey with her and I have already recommended a few of my siblings to better help.

For the 1st time in my life I have attended therapy for over a year. I truly appreciate ivy for for the expertise the truth telling and reflection. This was my 1st therapy experience being virtual and also my 1st therapy experience where my therapist gave me small homework exercises every week. I also appreciate The different platforms that we can communicate in. I look forward to each week's session. And that says a lot coming from somebody who would never make it past session 3. Ivy is a wonderful therapist and super relatable.

I’ve been in therapy on and off for most of my life, and Ivy is the best therapist I’ve had. She listens to me and is focused on my goals, but she tells me what I need to hear even if it isn’t what I want to hear, which is what I need. My mental health is fairly good right now and I definitely believe that my weekly sessions with Ivy are a factor. She helps keep me on track when I’m struggling (or forgetting) to keep myself on track and she reminds me of my whys. She also reminds me of my worth consistently which has helped boost my confidence.

I wasn’t too sure how it would go transitioning from traditional in-person counseling to a digital platform. Now a year later, I can say I’ve had a very positive experience with Better Help! So grateful to have had this platform available to me. I have an unusual work schedule and honestly found scheduling in-person appointments stressful; this app makes it so much more convenient which means I’ve been more likely to actually make time to prioritize my mental health. I appreciate quality of care put into pairing people with a counselor. Ivy has been an absolutely incredible resource helping me address whatever is going on and whatever I’m working toward, in a supportive and structured way. I have been able to get through some tough times and refocus on new goals, and I’ve actually been able to feel & see the progress I’ve made over the past year. Thanks to my continued amazing experience with Ivy, I find myself recommending Better Help frequently to friends and family who are looking for counseling but don’t know where to start.
