About me
NOW OFFERING SAME DAY APPOINTMENTS!!
Hi there! Just to explain a little bit about myself.....I began my education taking classes for Alcohol and Substance Use studies. I received my Associate's degree and was so interested in continuing to help people that I decided to pursue my education in the social work field. I entered into the Advanced Standing Social Work program at Nazareth College and proceeded to received my Bachelor's of Social Work degree. I enrolled at Roberts Wesleyan College and spent the next ten months pursuing my Master's Degree in Social Work. I then tested and received my LMSW and subsequently LCSW.
I have worked many years in the addiction and mental health fields and with that came some experience with the criminal justice field. I have worked as a Mobile Crisis Mental Health Social Worker and found that position extremely rewarding. I am also a Certified Grief Recovery Specialist and assist clients with grief and loss related issues.
I approach clients with a client-centered, holistic approach and feel I can continue to help others using a empowered, strengths-based perspective. I look forward to meeting new people and encounter each day as a new challenge.
