Jessica Malvicino, LMHC
About me
I am a bilingual Florida Licensed Mental Health Counselor who graduated in 2006 with my Bachelor’s degree in Communications, and in 2013 received my Master’s degree, with honors, in Mental Health Counseling. I have received the prestigious recognition from the National Board for Certified Counselors to be a National Certified Counselor and Subject Matter Expert for the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination. I'm also the recipient of the 2023 Healthcare Champion Emerging Leader Award by the South Florida Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. Additionally, I'm certified as a Level II TEAM-CBT Therapist.
In using a TEAM-CBT approach developed by Dr. David Burns, MD, a pioneer in the field of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, I specialize in working with anxiety, depression, relationships, and habits/addictions. This approach combines the powerful elements of cognitive behavioral and motivational therapies.
I am dedicated to my profession and passion for the industry. It is essential to me to make a difference in every individual’s life I encounter. I consider it to be super important to teach clients powerful tools to change distorted beliefs, which will in turn allow them to not only feel better, but have these life tools whenever needed to remain well.
