About me

I am a licensed Social Worker who has been counseling for over 45 years. I have worked with all ages and many kinds of people. I work well with those who face life changes of all kinds, and with people who find themselves needing more stability, freedom, and satisfaction in their lives or relationships. I have worked with recovery from trauma, and from dysfunctional or addictive family patterns. I have worked with chronic illness, and issues of aging and change. If you presently are looking for help with depression, anxiety, worries, confusion about your life or about leftovers from past events, I am ready to help. Counseling can start with who and where you are now, and move you through to be better, more satisfactory and healthy place in your life.
Counseling is a way to look at your life and patterns, and help you heal from the past, make hard decisions in the present, solve difficult dilemmas, and work toward an even better future. Beyond that, it is a way to help you solidify your individual potential and identity, and build close and successful relationships.
Whatever the reason for your wanting some help, I will use care, strength, and respect, as well as knowledge and skill to work with you and meet your goals. If things seem dark, we search for light and life. When you lose your way or a sense of who you are, we can find your identity and your relationship to life again. If you are coping with difficult circumstances, we can determine how best to cope, and whether to change your life.
We can work by phone, video, live chat, or messaging. Scheduled weekly sessions are encouraged and available although not mandatory. We will start by gathering information, getting to know each other, and building a relationship.
Thank you for caring enough about your life to contact me. I look forward to working with you.
