About me
Hi my name is Leticia McCurtis, I am a registered Licensed Marriage Family Therapist. I graduated from National University with a Bachelor of Art in psychology and a Master of Arts in counseling. I am passionate about working with adult individuals, couples, children, and adolescents. It takes a vast amount of courage to face the challenges that life throws at us. It is genuinely an honor to be trusted with my clients' stories and a privilege to be given the opportunity to walk alongside their life journeys. I believe that every individual is capable of meeting their goal and becoming who they want to be. I meet and accept my clients exactly where they are at in their life. I wholeheartedly believe in creating and promoting safe spaces needed to foster healthy growth for my clients, so they may reach their goals and become who they aim to be.
I have a vast amount of experience working in different settings for counseling such as short term residential treatment, private practice settings and corporate settings for therapy. I have experience helping clients with a wide range of mental health issues such as, anxiety/stress, depression, relationship/marital issues, motivation, self esteem/confidence, coping with life changes and traumas. I believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming life obstacles. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey
I wanted to take this opportunity to share a few things about myself. I was born and raised in Southern California. I spent my childhood summers on a farm in Maybee, Michigan, which I absolutely loved! My favorite thing about the country were the fireflies because they are absolutely mesmerizing. I LOVE reading and listening to romantic comedies and sci-fi books. I find instrumental piano and lof-fi music delightful and peaceful. I love boba tea, coffee and I have a fondness for baking all things and cooking Soul Food & Filipino family recipes. My favorite thing to do is spend time with my mom and two sisters because we never have a dull moment. The biggest joys of my life are my nephew and nieces, they all teach me something new everyday. Lastly, I have been blessed with an amazing husband, a veteran of the United States Marine, three beautiful bonus daughters and an energetic, loving furr-baby .
I look forward to meeting you soon!
