Linda Colebrooke, LMHC
About me
You should know that I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. That I am a graduate from Palm Beach Atlantic University, a private Christian College, with a master's degree in Counseling Psychology. I have worked since graduation in 2013, in the following settings: Community Mental Health, Inpatient Psychiatric, Forensic, and Civil Commitment.
My approach to therapy is a blend of several therapies to include: Strength Based, Narrative, Psycho Dynamic, Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral. Not one singular approach fits every person. I believe that the ability to utilize a blend with these various therapeutic approaches, empowers people to understand that struggles and challenges don't define them.
You will be able to take away a sense of being heard and understood. We will examine how your internal thoughts impact your behavior. We will look for patterns in your thinking and connect them with experiences in your past. We will engage in a journey that takes you through understanding self and what has brought you to your current issue. You will learn to realize that you are not defined by your problem.
Professional experience
Additional areas of focus: LGBT, Relationship issues, Grief, Anger management, Self esteem, Career difficulties, Coping with life changes, Compassion fatigue
Clinical approaches: Client-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Trauma-Focused Therapy

Linda is a great listener! I tend to ramble a lot and she is very patient and thorough when responding. She offers different ways for me to journal and better coping mechanisms. I love talking to her and enjoy our sessions.

My therapist is awesome! We will have random conversations abt different movies and songs just cuz and it makes me feel better. She has helped me through several tough times and helped me understand more of what my problems were to work through them

Super beneficial. Times are tough. It is nice to have someone that is willing to listen and understand, "the big picture" and offer sincere and thoughtful suggestions on managing the "speedbumps" we encounter. Try to dodge the "potholes". Very beneficial!!!
