Dr. Linda Gonzales, Psychologist
About me
I am licensed in Oregon with 30 years of professional work experience. I earned my doctoral degree in Psychology at the University of Oregon. Most of my career has been working with veterans at VA outpatient clinics. I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, coping with grief and loss, sleep disorders, anger and depression. My areas of expertise are working with people who have had significant adversities, such as serious health issues or becoming a caregiver, as well as other life transitions. I use ACT therapy, mindfulness skills, and work from a strengths based approach. The BetterHelp platform provides the option of messaging your therapist, and this is useful for communication about some things. I find that video sessions provide the most meaningful and beneficial platform for therapy, and strongly encourage clients to schedule these. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
