My clients struggle with balancing family, friends, work, hobbies and inner peace. My clients all want the same thing: To live their lives doing what they love and being their best so they also have the strength to be there for others who need them. My clients struggle with negative emotions and how to deal with them. A lot of my clients have irrational, negative thoughts about themselves, others and the world in general. These thoughts are present but my clients may not realize their impact. I would say my specialty is helping people manage and reduce the negative effects of Anxiety (Social Anxiety, General, Panic Disorder, OCD). I use a combination of approaches to include cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, skill development, problem solving and learning to gain control over the physiological effects of anxiety. My mission is to provide the highest quality clinical services in partnership with my clients to help them to reach their highest potential of personal & professional well being. I am adept at helping clients get to the root of the problem and developing the skills needed to cope more effectively, identify their core values and shape their goals and dreams around these values for better life fulfillment. If you simply need to slow down your pace, be more mindful or learn to relax and shut off work at home I can provide tips and techniques for you to practice. If you simply want a safe place to talk and feel empathy and validation I can do that too. Your time is valuable and I want you to get what you need from therapy. I will ask you at times if you feel you are progressing in an appropriate way. I aim for us to have open dialogue at all times. I look forward to working with you on your journey!

Great. Trying BH for the first time. She was very patient while I stumbled through learning the platform. Highly recommend.

Lisa is very knowledgeable in different ways to cope and balance your thinking. She listens to you and validates your feelings. She always keeps the conversation going by asking questions or saying prompting statements. I enjoy the "homework" she gives and articles to read after our sessions to try to implement throughout the week.

My therapist has offered me a platform to reflect on myself and my actions. It is rewarding for me to have such a sincere and thoughtful contact to connect with. I am confident that over the course of additional meetings that the tools she has shared with me will continue to lead to additional insight. There is a supportive touch that Lisa provides which lends itself to holistic and tangible next steps to overcome overlaying issues.

Lisa is wonderful. I know she listens. Our last session I was discussing something. She really took note and gave me homework on that. I feel like she relates to me. She doesn't forget what you tell her. From the first few minutes talking with her it was so easy. She has a great attitute and definitely knows her stuff. I'm very well pleased with her.

Lisa grasped what I was struggling with right away. What I liked was that she did not offer "general" ways for me to move forward; she asked great questions to get me to think things over in a different way; she gave me homework - ie: articles to read that relate to my "issues". She was specific in her guidance/counselling and I felt her compassion at the same time. She has helped me to step out of my fear.

Lisa has been a true blessing to me in a time when I thought I had no hope. She is understanding, helpful, timely and truly cares. I never felt pressured, only guided to a decision that’s as tight for me.
I’ve learned more about myself and my behavior in the last few weeks than I have in years. I think, with her guidance, I can be happy again.
