About me

I am a bi lingual English -French licensed psychotherapist based in the UK with 15 years of professional work experience. Although I conduct my sessions in English, I am happy to work with people for whom French is their native language. In terms of my professional background, I have experience in helping clients with various presenting difficulties such as stress and anxiety, coping with addictions and their co-occuring difficulties such as depression. I also have vast experience working with people presenting with trauma and abuse related difficulties. Based on Existential principles, my work as a philosophical coach is founded on my believe that you are the expert of your story and that you have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming obstacles which you feel hinder your ability to reach your full potential. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage, I am here to support you in that process. Within my practice as an Integrative therapist, I adapt this therapeutic model to your presenting story while always working with you within a person-centred framework. I am also a developmental psychologist, having worked with both adults, adolescents and young children, and therefore apply a life course approach to my work with clients.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Dr. Lucy Flitton. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

Dr. Flitton is a gifted, wise, and experienced therapist. She is professional and creates an environment where I feel safe sharing and where I feel heard and supported, and the materials she has shared with me have been spot-on and enormously helpful in my journey. Her knack for distilling what I've expressed into real, understandable reflections that help me to understand my thoughts and their origins is precious and unique, and something I've not experienced in therapy until sessions with Dr. Flitton.
