About me

I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker in Georgia with over 30 years of experience in a wide range of concerns including relationships, depression, anxiety, sex therapy issues and infidelity within relationships. Infidelity is an area in which I have had a great deal of specialized training and experience.
I also have a great deal of experience with couples and family relationships. I led a parent's group, adolescent daily group and family therapy sessions while employed on a child and adolescent unit for four years at Peachford Hospital in Atlanta. I was also employed as Director of Child and Adolescent Services in Atlanta at Brawner Hospital. My experience is extensive with persons ages 4 to 96.

Having worked in psychiatric hospitals, as well as private practice; I have also helped many people who have experienced physical trauma, emotional abuse and severe chronic conditions such as bipolar disorders. My therapy style is warm and interactive - often playful. I believe in treating my clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion; and I don't believe in labels.

My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, mindfulness, humanistic, psycho-dynamic and rational-emotive therapy. I will always consider your individual needs in formulating a treatment plan with you.

It takes a great deal of courage to step out of one's familiar comfort zone to seek a more fulfilling and happier life, and to take the first step towards making a change
If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and guide you in doing that. I look forward to meeting and working with you.

Welcome.

Mary Lee has been a wonderful help to me in a really difficult time in my life. She has been nothing but kind, understanding, and supportive while giving me tools and perspective to cope with what I'm going through. She never makes me feel like I'm crazy and helps me recognize my mental blind spots. I 100% recommend her to anyone struggling with anxiety, bipolar disorder, and relationship issues. Calls with her feel like a call with a friend (that you're supposed to vent to).

Mary Lee is a very open supportive counselor.. I was in so much turmoil when I first started therapy with her. I wanted to work on boundaries. And I can honestly say I have learned that skill. My work with Mary Lee has helped me define who I am, what I want, brought peace to my life I and it has helped me heal wounds that ran deep from my childhood. I learned forgiveness of others and myself. I have learned that I am enough. I have so much to be grateful for. I trust Mary Lee and have shared most everything in my life w he. My new journey in life is just beginning and I am almost 64.yesrs old! I wish whoever reads this finds a therapist that helps them as Mary Lee has helped me
