About me

Hello! Welcome to Betterhelp, and welcome to my profile. My name is Michael Coyne, and I have been a licensed therapist for almost 10 years. I am also a musician, writer, and nature-lover.

I am a counselor in the State of Minnesota with about 10 years of licensed practice. I have experience in a variety of settings working with people from diverse backgrounds and different walks of life. I have worked with people who are affluent, as well as people who are homeless. I have worked with people in the midst of major life changes, as well as people who are wrestling with the past, or concerned about the future. I have worked with people who know exactly what they want to change, and I have also worked with people who feel unsure of what to do to move forward in life. Within these various settings, I have frequently received feedback from clients such as, "I feel comfortable talking with you," and "you ask the right questions, at the right time." My experience includes working with people who are experiencing issues such as persistently low mood, increased anxiety, relationship difficulties, adjusting to major life changes, or simply feeling listless, lost, or adrift. I also enjoy working with people who are simply looking to enrich their quality of life, expand their potential, and/or gather support for continued growth and change.

If you do think that we may be a good fit to work together, I encourage you to reach out and make an appointment. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I wish you the best in your journey of healing and growth!

Micheal is very intuitive and has a great deal of knowledge. He helps guide your thinking and helps me be more self aware, which I really appreciate.

Michael and I have only met once so this review may be a bit premature. However, during our first meeting I began to feel comfortable and thought we had a very nice, constructive conversation. Looking forward to future meetings!

Michael, or Mike, is to me the epitome of support and trust. He respects my words, and consistently makes an effort to understand whatever feelings or emotions that I am trying to express. I feel that our relationship is one of learning and enablement, where our conversations make me feel educated and empowered to be a strong agent of my own growth.

I was only able to work with Mike briefly, but he was very attentive and clearly very caring. I definitely recommend working with Mike if his listed qualifications suit your needs.
