About me

I have been fortunate to work with people in all stages across the life-span, as a counselor and life coach for 20 years. I have a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from Western Michigan University and have taught at the preschool and early elementary level. I also have training as a birth and postpartum doula. My M.A., also through WMU, is in Community Agency Counseling with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Michigan and Arizona. I was fortunate to offer counseling for elderly residents of long-term care facilities in Branch County, MI for five years. My pronouns are she/her.

Most recently I have combined my passion for helping people with my interest in multiculturalism. I am a certified diversity trainer with National Coalition Building Institute and have spent twelve years working with international high school exchange students throughout every aspect of their program experience, from placement to support throughout their program year.

I was very happy to complete training through Bennett Stellar University in Neuro-Linguistic Programming and Hypnotherapy in 2013 and have found the coaching skills gained there to be a tremendous addition to my counseling background. My approach to counseling varies depending on the needs of the client and combines all aspects of my own background and training to work effectively with a diverse range of clients at all points in the life cycle.

My counseling style is warm, compassionate, and interactive. I use an eclectic blend of cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, and mindfulness techniques along with Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP), and hypnotherapy to help you reach your goals. Together we will explore the messages you have absorbed from the world around you and re-frame the subconscious messages you give yourself so that you can find peace, happiness, and success.

I look forward to getting to know you!

Natasha is a great, caring therapist who fully utilizes the Betterhelp platform to give me an all-encompassing experience where I'm able to talk to her about anything I'm feeling down about, from existential fears to personal drama, whenever I need to. She uses a variety of therapeutic techniques and modalities with finesse and I always feel better after counseling with her. I also believe she is a big part of why my life is in its upward trajectory, as I had numerous therapists before her (not associated with Betterhelp) that were much less helpful.

Natasha has been easy to talk to and open up about things with. She's helped a lot in reframing certain issues so that I can handle them in mentally healthier ways and be less upset with myself over shortcomings or failures.

Am enjoying my work with Natasha. She has a gift for being lighthearted, while getting to the underlying core of what may be going on One of her many assets is to be naturally ready with a soothing dose of compassion and innate wisdom. She is a gem.
