About me

Hi there! Reaching out for help takes courage. I am glad you are here! My name is Sean Blade. I am a clinical mental health counselor licensed in Florida and Maryland. I have a master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Florida International University. I have spent much of my career, to this point, working with a highly diverse population, including BIPOC, immigrants, and the LGBTQIA+ community.

My approach to counseling is a combination of Person-Centered and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. However, I never stray far away from the ultimate goal of healing your heart. I believe that the relationship I build with those I work with is the most important factor to growth. I bring with me a unique and unusually wide-ranging array of personal experiences that allow me to connect with others in a warm, non-judgmental, and empathetic way. I am honored when people choose to share their pain with me and allow me to walk with them on their journey.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I can’t say enough great things about my experience working with Sean. His guidance has been truly invaluable in helping me navigate personal challenges, especially in resolving deep-seated conflicts with my father. Through our sessions, I’ve gained so much clarity on my emotions, reactions, and how to approach difficult situations with a healthier mindset.

Sean creates a safe and supportive space to talk openly, reflect, and process feelings without judgment. His advice is insightful, practical, and always delivered in a way that makes me feel understood and empowered. I’ve found immense value in our conversations, and I truly appreciate the impact he’s had on my personal growth.

Although I am in a much better place now, I would absolutely work with him again in the future if the need arises. I highly recommend Sean to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, and skilled professional who genuinely cares about his clients’ well-being.

Sean has been an absolute blessing in my life. I came to him during one of the most challenging years I’ve faced, and his guidance, empathy, and expertise have truly been life-changing. Sean creates a safe and supportive environment where I felt heard, understood, and encouraged to grow.

His ability to gently challenge my perspectives while offering practical tools for healing has been invaluable. He has a way of making difficult conversations feel approachable, and I always left our sessions feeling lighter and more grounded.

Sean’s care and dedication are evident in everything he does, and I’m so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with him. If you’re looking for a therapist who is compassionate, insightful, and genuinely invested in your well-being, I can’t recommend Sean enough.

Sean is a fantastic therapist. He leads me gently to where I need to focus, but will call me on my avoiding strategies as well. He relates in such a friendly manner, yet has a deep understanding of my needs - it’s usually after weeks of work I realize where he was leading me. He also does a wonderful job recognizing and supporting when I solve a challenge or make a breakthrough - a little praise goes so far!
