Abolanle (Bola) Aloluwaloba, NCPS
About me
As a qualified counsellor, I provide a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental environment where I can help you gain insight into the less conscious aspects of your thinking, behaviour and feelings. There are many reasons why people come for counselling. Together we can explore and address concerns surrounding many different issues, ranging from; Bereavement and loss., Anxiety/fear.· Change: divorce, redundancy and many others.· Relationship issues.· Abuse: past or present, sexual, physical, mental or financial.· Confidence and self esteem.· Addictions.· Depression.· Eating disorders.
My role as a therapist is to help you find clarity and perspective so you can build healthy relationship with yourself and others and better manage your internal and external world. Over time, you will gain your own insights allowing you to feel more in control and able to trust in your own strengths and internal resources, allowing you to make the changes needed to improve your life and well-being. I work in a client-centred and collaborative way adopting different counselling approaches to suit the client's needs. However, I emphasize on the commitment of the client to therapy because they are the master of their own mind and experience.
There will be times that it may be challenging as we explore parts of ourselves we might prefer to avoid or feel are unacceptable. If we are willing to take the risk, within the safety of the therapeutic space, counselling rewards us with a deeper understanding of ourselves and enriches our lives with more awareness and meaning.

I had my first session with Abolanle a couple of days ago and I haven’t stopped thinking about it since. Within the first session of getting to know me, I had so many little realisations about myself, my behaviours, my relationships. Things that not many people would be intuitive enough to see at first glance. Bola mentioned more helpful insights within our first session than I had within 2 sessions with my previous therapist. I throughly enjoyed the session and my head was racing after. I’m very confident that Bola will help me process emotions and understand my patterns to help me get to the place I want to be! When reflecting, I wanted to pass on this feedback, as Bola clearly is a kind, compassionate person (especially to want to be in this line of work in the first place) but she is also very insightful and intuitive which is not a skill all people are blessed with. Thank you Bola ❤️

Bola has alot of knowledge in her field and is able to utilise it effectively for the challenges you want to address. I appreciate Bola's way of listening, sharing and practising practical tools you can use. She gets straight into the session without wasting any time. Thank you very much.
