About me

I am a culturally competent bilingual clinician with over 20 years of post graduate experience with post graduate psychoanalytic and substance abuse training. I practice in the state of New Jersey. I have worked with children, adolescents and adults via individual, family and group psychotherapy formats. In addition to clinical one to one experience, I have extensive supervisory and administrative experience in various levels of outpatient psychiatric treatment.
I have extensive experience with a wide range of concerns including depression, grief (complicated), anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, self esteem issues, medical issues, eating disorders, geriatric issues, separation, loss, domestic violence, trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder , bipolar disorder, personality disorders, mood dis-regulation disorders , ADHD/ related disorders and spiritual values/beliefs as it relates to emotional well being.
My counseling style is warm, empathic, understanding, creative , non-judgemental, patient and interactive. Life can be challenging and it is with this acceptance that we can jointly work together to set goals to aid you in your journey . The process will not be linear but the journey will provide you with skills, connections and inner growth.
My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Person Centered, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Informed Care and Motivational Interviewing techniques . I will tailor our dialogue, objectives and goals to meet your unique and specific needs. I believe in being creative, thinking outside the box and be encouraging to push outside your comfort zone, if ready.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you!

I think I have been with her for four or five months and I absolutely love her as my therapist! She is always there for me and then follows through with checking on me. She never judges and makes me feel comfortable. I feel I can never lose her.. I am so thankful I found her
