Alan Pedraza, LPC, LCPC
About me
Hi my name is Alan! I am a licensed professional counselor in Oregon, Texas, and Maryland with over 10 years of experience working as a psychotherapist and qualified mental health professional. I have worked with clients from a wide walk of life with issues that include depression, anxiety, complex trauma, drug issues, relationship issues, parenting styles, OCD, and ADHD. I have also helped many people who have experienced suicidal ideations, crisis, physical trauma or emotional abuse.
My presence is warm and approachable. I value being humble, non-judgmental and professional at all times. I incorporate a client-centered approach in my practice and believe in treating everyone with care, compassion, sensitivity, and respect. My therapeutic style integrates existential, humanistic, cognitive-behavioral , psychodynamic, reality, cognitive therapy, and EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing). I also incorporate energy and spiritual healing into my profession, however I will connect with you first to figure out an appropriate treatment plan that meets your customized needs.
I want to congratulate you beforehand for taking the first step into your own mental health and well-being! It takes great courage to seek answers and strive towards a happier and more fulfilling self. Wherever you might be on jour journey, I will be here to guide and empower you :)
Again thank you so much, I look forward in seeing you in our next session!

In a very short space of time I have felt such a huge change in myself and my ability to manage my emotions and reactions since I started work with Alan: challenging, but warm and supportive. Thoroughly recommended.
