Alice Mason, LMSW
About me
A good place to start is to have someone you can talk with and, over time, develop trust. My name is Alice, and I’m a Master’s level Licensed Clinical Social worker with 20 years experience as a therapist. I have worked with people who come from diverse backgrounds and who are dealing with many different problems. My goal in working together is for you to feel better about yourself and your ability to manage difficult life circumstances.
My training and expertise include work with depression, life crises, anxiety, low self-esteem, trauma, grief, relational and family issues. I’ve provided therapy and assessments in-home and in clinical settings, and more recently via zoom and telephone.
I take an active, individualized approach to counseling, seeking your input in determining goals and methods that will work for you. Working together, you can discover new patterns of thinking and behavior in order to achieve your goals. My approach may combine cognitive-behavioral, relational, humanistic, person-centered, and solution-focused therapy.
I believe everyone has strengths to draw upon to move forward in life and feel more fulfilled and satisfied. You will find me to be caring, compassionate, and supportive. I hope we can talk soon.

I've had 2 phone sessions with Alice so far and she's great. She's a wonderful listener and is so easy to talk to. We've covered so much in only two sessions and I'm looking forward to our next session. She's so nice and just really made me feel welcome and comfortable talking about whatever I needed to.
