About me

Hello!
I am a licensed clinical social worker in FL. VA. UT. and ME and a licensed marriage and family therapist in FL. I have worked in various environments in the mental health field for over 18 years. My experience is working with children, adolescents, young adults, couples, and families with concerns including communication difficulties, parenting , relationship conflict, grief and loss, stress and anxiety, and compassion fatigue. I also have specialized experience in autism assessment.

My approach to therapy is client-centered and solution-focused. I believe the most progress is made when you meet a client where they are at and focus on the issues that are a priority for them. It is important to me to establish a safe, open, space where clients are treated with respect and feel comfortable. I utilize cognitive-behavioral, motivational interviewing, and strengths-based strategies to help guide our sessions. This way we can work together to identify and address the challenges that you are facing so that you can move forward. You have already taken the first step by reaching out and exploring Better Help so congratulations, you are already headed in the right direction! I look forward to getting to know you and helping you continue to move ahead with positive change.

She really is awesome.

I've been working with Alicia for a few weeks now and have already seen progress. She's been helping me with parenting advice/issues and the improvement in only a short amount of time is really unbelievable to me. I'm excited to continue to progress with my parenting, and with my other concerns we will discuss in the future.

Alicia is absolutely wonderful! She really knows how to read her clients and they're needs in that moment. She asks thought provoking questions at the right time, gives helpful tips and advice when appropriate, and sometimes just listens- her balanced technique makes her so easy to talk to and makes the appointments feel productive! She's very relatable and feels like a very open person who (just like me) has good days, bad days, struggles, and frustrations.
Thank you Alicia!

Alicia is the best! She understands what ive gone through. She makes great suggestions on what to do to help, but ultimately she just gets that some times its about venting and listening. I actually stopped therapy for a little bit but what i loved was when i signed back up it just picked up right where i left off.
