About me

Hi! I am Alisa Neary (she/her). I’m a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. More specifically, I am passionate about inspiring hope and empowering change.

My 30-year career has been centered around helping adults free themselves of toxic relationships and heal from interpersonal violence. Whether abuse occurred in your childhood, in a past adult relationship, or is happening in a current relationship, you can reclaim your personal power and heal. I support individuals in reducing symptoms of PTSD, anxiety and depression; decreasing self-blame and isolation; building self-esteem; finding self-acceptance; and recognizing healthy and unhealthy relationships. In my person-centered approach, I strive to create a therapeutic experience that is comfortable, non-judgmental and empathetic. I believe that every human being strives for and has the capacity to fulfill their own potential.

The steps you have taken thus far, exploring services through BetterHelp, demonstrate your “readiness” for change. A trusted therapist can provide support and guidance on your journey toward self-discovery and healing. If you think I may be that person, let’s connect!

I look forward to meeting you!

Truly an angel on this earth that God sent to me. She’s helped me to understand myself and see my emotions on a deeper level. I have grown so much and am extremely thankful to have someone who genuinely cares for my well being.

Alisa is a great therapist. She is a great active listener, she offers reflections and clarifications on what I say to make sure she's understanding me, she validates how I'm feeling, and she challenges how I'm thinking to make me go deeper. She helped me make goals and achieve my goals, and was my cheerleader the whole way. I recently had a bump in the road but she was there to guide me and remind me that I have the tools to get through tough situations on my own. Highly recommend!

I warmed to Alica right away at our first session. She has been so affirming to me during my process of getting a divorce. Given the safety concerns in my particular situation, she has provided my with excellent support and guidance. Alica has listened to me and made me feel confident and validated in my feelings as I move forward at this difficult time.
