Alison Kliegman, LMHC
About me
I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor based in New York with over 8 years of experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, LGBT issues, addictions, life issues, women's issues. I also helped many people from a range of socio-economic backgrounds.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion, and I don't believe in stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and solution-focused. I will tailor our dialogue and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you.
What I do first is online chatting with the typing sessions first until we feel comfortable enough with each other then we move to phone and video sessions.
I look forward to working with you!

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Alison Kliegman. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
I rarely keep therapists long term, and Alison has been my most consistent and supportive therapist that I have ever had. They are an incredible listener, help me keep good habits going, and have helped me through a lot of moments of transition and grief.

Very caring and able to have an insight on all the issues I'm having!

Alison does a great job of relating to me as a person not just as one of their patients. They are open with their own struggles if asked and it makes me feel less alone in mine. They offer solid advice and coping mechanisms that have worked for them and their past patients. Very, very helpful overall.
