Alissa Rodriguez, LMHC
About me
I am a licensed mental health clinician. I provide supportive counseling to help navigate and develop a healthier version of yourself. I specialize in working with adults and adolescents with substance use disorders, family conflicts, relationship issues and anxiety. I am certified in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional. I work from the perspective that the therapeutic relationship is the most important aspect of counseling. In session you can expect a genuine, warm and empathetic clinician that uses insightful questioning to help guide you to become an active participant of your own life. I also use CBT approaches and can teach several coping skills to use alternatively.
I completed my undergraduate and graduate schoolwork at Florida International University and have lived in Miami, FL all of my life, I am fully bilingual in (Spanish/English). In my free time I enjoy cooking, reading, and spending time with my 4-year-old daughter.
