I am a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience working as a therapist in various inpatient and outpatient settings. I have worked with clients on multiple concerns, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, grief, parenting problems, career, and life transition challenges. In addition, I have extensive experience in working with clients who struggle with behaviors and symptoms related to obsessive-compulsive disorders, attention deficit, and hyperactivity disorders such as ADD and ADHD.
My therapeutic approach varies but is always client-centered. Through a strengths-based and solutions-focused lens, I draw on multiple treatment modalities to guide clients in identifying strengths and developing treatment plans that accomplish their goals. For example, through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), I assist clients in exploring relationships among thoughts, feelings, and behaviors to aid in discovering dysfunctional thought patterns leading to self-destructive behaviors and beliefs. Using Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I support clients through developing skills: mindfulness, distress tolerance, interpersonal effectiveness, and emotion regulation to move clients towards a life involving the capacity for experiencing joy and freedom.
It takes courage and effort to seek a more fulfilling and happier life, and if you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.
I look forward to working with you.

10/10. She has helped me so much the last few months. She has never judged me, validates my thoughts and feelings, and treats me like a real human instead of treating me like something is wrong with me. I’m forever grateful for her!

Allison is amazing. She’s incredibly thoughtful and wants to get to know you on a personal level prior to getting into the deeper topics. Allison works with you and you never feel that you will be pushed our pulled in a way in which you do not feel comfortable. I have insurance and could have gone to a local provider. But being "matched" with a therapist, along with 24/7 message board access and the fact that I would get to change therapist if it wasn’t a match was intriguing . Then, when I was matched with Allison, I felt like I won the therapist lottery! She is attentive, has a background in topics that I needed help with and is professionally vulnerable herself, making it more comfortable for me. I would absolutely recommend BetterHelp to match you to a therapist and I love being matched with Allison!

I am very happy with the service she is providing.
