Allison Parliament, LPC
About me
Welcome! My name is Allison, and I’m a professional counselor. I’ve been practicing for 17 years in a variety of settings including middle schools, high schools, and private practice. I have experience in many areas including (but not limited to) anxiety, stress, self-esteem, grief, depression, and life transitions. I graduated with my BA from Cedarville University and my MA in Counseling from Eastern Michigan University.
My style of therapy is warm and personal. I am an excellent listener, with great empathy and compassion. I promise to treat you with sensitivity, respect, and warmth by getting to know you as a unique individual. I’ll meet you where you are, and together we can jointly come up with goals and solutions that will work best for you. My approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Humanistic Therapies, Solution Focused Therapy, and Behavioral Therapies.
Seeking therapy can be a difficult decision to make, and I commend you for wanting to create a better life for yourself! I would love to support you and be part of your journey toward a happier, more peaceful, fulfilling life.

In just a few sessions my whole perspective of bettering myself has greatly improved. I recommend counseling to friends and family now because of what Allison has been able to start helping me process. She’s very responsive and efficiently helps implement new tactics to change my perspective for the better. She’s a fantastic counselor!
