About me

Hello! My name is Amanda and I am a lover of baking, knitting, nature hikes, podcasts, and all things cozy.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Wisconsin. My counseling style is warm and reflective as I listen and sit with my clients in whatever space they are in, judgment free. I am dedicated to creating a space where we can work together to process, learn, and collaborate on achieving your goals. I value a holistic approach to therapy and I draw from cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychoeducation and a client centered approach. I highly value your feedback as we navigate the therapeutic space together.

It is a brave thing to step into a space with someone new, and if you are ready to enter that space I am here to support you.

I look forward to working with you!

Amanda made me feel completely comfortable right from the start. She demonstrated again and again that she was dependable, caring, and patient with me. I highly recommend her as a therapist - she has been nothing but supportive and helpful.

She’s the bestest!

Amanda has been an amazing counselor to me for over the past year. I could not have asked for a kinder soul while big changes happened in my life. She had been understanding and intuitive about helping me step back and see the bigger picture. I found her during the height of covid and she has truly been a resource. I would not be in the mental headspace I am today without her help. I highly recommend Amanda to anyone seeking calm, reflective, and guiding help.

Amanda provides a safe and non judgmental place to work out my concerns. She is very present and I feel heard during our sessions. She’s made all the difference for me feeling like I have someone to talk to who is understanding and empathetic. As someone in a ‘helping’ role myself it is essential for us to have someone as dedicated to our wellbeing as we are to those we help. Thank you!

Very Helpful

Written on May 22, 2021 after therapy with Amanda for 3 months on issues concerning relationship issues, and anger management

Amanda is very receptive and understanding of what I talk about in sessions, and her takeaways on what topics we talk about are communicated very clearly. I love that she talks in a very casual way which makes me feel more comfortable opening up. After two sessions I already feel confident we have a good patient/counselor relationship.
