Amber Ensign, LPC
About me
I have been practicing therapy for approximately 10 years; the last three of which have been working with children, adolescents, and their families. I have experience working with individuals who struggle with substance abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, and general life concerns. I am trained in evidenced-based, trauma informed therapies such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or TF-CBT (I am also a certified TF-CBT provider) and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing or EMDR, as well as your standard talk therapy. My goal is to provide the best therapy that will meet the needs of my clients, so sometimes I will utilize multiple methods and/or theoretical approaches to address presenting concerns. I genuinely care about my client's well-being, and am willing to tell you if I don't believe myself to be a good fit for your needs. Whether you are looking for someone to provide an outside perspective on life, seeking a specific form of therapy, or are drawn to faith-based, Biblical counseling I might just be the counselor for you.

I have been in therapy with Amber for 3 weeks now and can tell you, I have done almost a complete 180 turnaround. I was feeling lost and stuck in life and she has given me the tools to help me. I still have bad days, but she always lets me know that it is okay and normal. I really feel so grateful for her and hopeful for what is to come.
