About me

Hi! Are you feeling the weight of COVID or other threatening news? Is it difficult to get up and complete tasks that used to feel so much easier? Or if you find that your past experiences are making it difficult to function in your day-to-day, then come talk to me.

My Name is Amber Tindell and I graduated from Southern Nazarene University in 2019 with a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology. I have worked in the mental health field for seven years and have been conducting therapy for four years. I specialize in working with young adults who have experienced early childhood trauma, complex trauma, incidental trauma, attachment concerns, depression, anxiety, and suicidal ideation. I'm trained and working towards certification for EMDR to aid in processing traumas. I have a very eclectic and holistic approach to therapy and believe that YOUR therapy should be based off of YOUR needs. I do not use a single approach for all of my clients. I think that our therapeutic relationship is most important and that we have to learn about one another in order to establish trust and rapport. I let my client's be the driver of their treatment and healing goals. I am accepting of all individuals, and will always welcome you with open arms.

I have two amazing dogs, a loving husband, and I love to travel the world. Continued healing is my personal goal and what I love to instill in my clients. I look forward to and am honored that you are willing to take me on your healing journey, as well.

Amber is the absolute best- I've gone through a couple therapist on this app and finally landed on her. She's super easy to talk to, understanding, and helps me meet my goals in a way that's easy to follow.

As someone who has struggled with trauma and the resulting emotional difficulties, finding the right therapist can be a daunting task. However, from the moment I met Amber, I knew I had found the right person to guide me through my healing journey.
Amber's trauma-informed approach helped me feel safe and validated, allowing me to explore my feelings without fear of judgment. I appreciated her willingness to explain the science behind trauma and how it can affect the brain and body. It made me feel less alone in my experiences and gave me hope that healing was possible.
Amber's extensive education and training were evident in the personalized interventions she provided. Amber is always open to trying new techniques to help me process my stuck emotions, and her person-centered approach ensured that my needs were always at the forefront of our sessions.
Perhaps most importantly, Amber is one of the most empathetic and supportive therapists I have ever met. She listened to me with an open heart and mind, providing a safe space for me to explore my trauma and stuck emotions. Amber's availability and responsiveness meant that I always felt supported outside our regular sessions.
Overall, I cannot recommend Amber enough. Her dedication to her clients' healing journey is evident in every aspect of her practice, from her trauma-informed approach to her willingness to try new things. If you are looking for a skilled, compassionate, and empathetic therapist, look no further than this amazing human.

Amber has been extremely wonderful to work with. She has guided me how to process my breakup, discover new parts of myself and overall keep my mental health at a better state than when I wasn't in therapy. I enjoy our weekly sessions and she is very accommodating to her clients.
