My name is Amelia Laurent-Julien, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, CPDPE, CDVS-I. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, National Certified Counselor, Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator, and a Certified Domestic Violence Specialist (Level I). I specializes in working with adults with specific issues such as anxiety, trauma, anger management, and life transitions through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person- Centered Therapy. I work with adults ages 18 and over on resolving issues such as post-partum depression, conflict resolution, depression, anxiety, parenting issues, life adjustment/transitions, and grief. I utilize different styles and theoretical approaches, as I tailor therapy to the individual needs. Although I am an eclectic therapist, I concentrate more on behaviors and how to eliminate those we do not like! I assist you with building the bridge to a brighter future that you want and desire. It starts here!
A few personal about me things: I love to write, spend time with my family and friends, craft - I love making personalized items when I have spare time such as tee shirts, tumblers, mousepads, keychains..ect. I love anything DIY! I am also a photographer and love creating memories with my camera. I love to travel, physically and mentally! I love to learn anything new that I do not have any prior knowledge of. I have a few kids, including a dog named Jaxson. I was born and raised in the river parishes of Louisiana where I still reside with my family.
