About me

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor with experience treating substance use, relationship conflict, domestic violence, LGBTQ specific counseling, trauma, major life changes, and I am kink and poly experienced and friendly. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish literature and a Master’s degree in counseling. Clients have commented that they find my approach to be caring and empathetic with a healthy dose of straightforward realness. I believe each one of us has struggles, that we need assistance from time to time, and that it takes real courage to reach out and ask for it. I see my role as assisting you to discover your own answers, not to adopt my way of thinking. If you feel lost, stuck, or confused, I am confident that I can help. Take care!

She's a wonderful listener and has really good thought provoking questions to help me further myself. Seems to genuinely have interest for what I have to say and stays attentive during the whole session.

Amie has helped me begin to address my concerns by shifting my perspective and in a rather profound way. She is flexible in each session and willing to change course based on my needs. Her style is relatable, and calm, and makes it easy for me to relax and open up. I am forever grateful to have found her and would recommend her to anyone.

I’ve worked with Amie a little less than a year now.

I’ve been in and out of therapy pretty much my whole life, and the style of therapy Amie utilizes is both completely new to me, and also, works!

It takes awhile to develop, but Amie is patient in working alongside me to create a safe and understanding place to explore feelings that I’ve spent years trying to access or heal. She responds in a timely manner, utilizes a variety of communication styles, and is always willing to meet me where I am.

It can be hit or miss finding a therapist that fits your needs and what you’re looking for, and I am genuinely so glad that we were able to connect through BetterHelp.
