Amy Chandler, LPC
About me
Hello, my name is Amy, I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state o f Oregon. I have been in the field for 25 years and have worked with children, young adults, families, and adults in a community counseling center as well as in consultation roles for my local county's health and community justice departments. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting challenges, family of origin issues, and career challenges.
My counseling style is client-centered and interactive. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, and motivational interviewing techniques. We will work together to develop goals that will meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to seek and work towards a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. Know that I work with clients to recognize and acknowledge what has affected and influenced their lives to this point and to name the challenge, or problem(s) that has brought them to therapy. Then we work to identify your strengths and look at how those strengths can help you move towards solutions. Learning to recognize your strengths and the exceptions to the problem in your current life are key in moving forward and remaining future focused.

Amy is wonderful. Great listener, and open to a variety of therapy methods (work sheets, talking it out, etc..). I highly recommend!

She is just great! Has really helped me find my voice as a person, and has helped me identify a lot of what has been bothering me.

I have thoroughly enjoyed working with Amy! We got matched together after I filled out my questionnaire, and I feel like we have been a great fit. After six months of building our relationship, I’m looking forward to the next 6+ months of progress I will make with her support!
