My name is Amy Freeman and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland, Arizona and Massachusetts with experience working with young adults ( 15 - 22) with developmental disabilities and there families in a non-public school setting. My background includes working with individuals and their families in a school setting with a understanding of the importance of working with clients, families, and multidisciplinary team members (education, speech, occupational therapy and behavior) in order to asses and address areas of need. My nonjudgmental and accepting personality allows for the foundation for an effective therapeutic relationship. Working with me means overcoming and powering through challenges in life by discovering healthier coping mechanisms and thought processes.

Amy has been monumental in my quest to address my mental health. She is always ready to listen and offers great insight into every situation. I have been in and out of therapy for a long time and my time with her has been the most productive!
I recommend Amy to anyone who is dealing with PTSD, Anxiety, and Trauma. Her approach is gentle and empathic. She wants to help you to understand what is happening rather than rushing you to milestones. She creates a safe and accepting space to support working on your processes and rethink your current approaches. She achieves this while making you feel sane.
The support from Amy has allowed me to grow in so many ways and help me cope with my anxiety. I hope to continue our patient and therapist relationship long-term.
