About me

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, and I have been practicing in the mental health field for the past 8 years with individuals, couples, and groups. I have worked with a wide range of issues including, but not limited to, anxiety, relationship issues, communication, conflict resolution, grief, and addiction.

Change is one of the hardest but ultimately most rewarding experiences a person can have. However, for change to happen, we must be willing to step out of the comfort zones we create and learn new skills to incorporate to move forward in life. I commend you for taking the first step toward changing your life.

I approach counseling as though each client is “unique” and not a product of their diagnosis. My objective in therapy is to provide a Holistic approach incorporating Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Based Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and empowering principles to integrate therapeutic measures to focus on the whole system: mind, body, and spirit.

I have practiced these mental health therapies successfully with children, adolescents, and adults by empowering them to decrease their anxiety, depression, and trauma symptoms, increasing frustration tolerance, and eliminating harmful substance abuse, among other presenting mental health issues.

Should you choose to work with me, I look forward to walking with you on your therapeutic journey to reach your desired destination and become a healthier you.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Amy Krohn. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I was extremely nervous to start this journey and finding a therapist but when I was matched up with Amy she calmed all my nerves and has been there whenever I needed her (all hours of the day & night). She's extremely patient, open & blunt (cuz that's what I need). So this journey I once thought I was going to be doing by myself I now know we are in this together. And I'm glad I came to betterhelp and we found each other! Amy is amazing in what she does!

Amy is really supportive, understanding, and relates well to me as a client. I really appreciate her help. She’s also super flexible which is even more appreciated as someone with mental health struggles - which makes day to day tasks and routines challenging. Looking forward to working with Amy further in the future!

Amy has been such a wonderful counselor. She listens to what you’re saying and applies her expertise in such an authentic way. She will hold you accountable and she will be honest with you. She helped me realize a lot, which allowed me to work through my issues and become a better person because of it. I am definitely leaving here better than when I came in and I highly recommend her services. 10/10.
