About me

I am an independently licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and Liscensed Substance Abuse Associate (LSAA) in New Mexico. My experience comes with providing direct mental health care, outpatient therapy, intensive in-home therapy for ask risk youth, and substance abuse counseling. I have worked with individuals, children, and families for around six years. I have a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's degree in social work with a concentration on children and families.

I have experience in trauma, child welfare, substance abuse treatment groups for teens and adults as well as individual substance abuse counseling. I have been practicing therapy both online and in person with teenagers and adults. I do not see children under the age of 14.

I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, depression, personality disorders, ADHD, parenting problems, OCD, bipolar and other mood related disorder, psychosis, oppositional defiance disorder, conduct disorders, coping with addictions, lgbtq+ related issues, & trauma and abuse.

My therapy style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I use a variety of approaches including trauma informed care, motivational interviewing, cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, psychodynamic therapy, humanistic therapy approaches (client centered, solution focused, Gestalt therapy, narrative therapy, and strength-based therapy), multisystem therapy, and systems theories. My primary goal is to meet my client where they are and collaborate the best and most effective treatment approach for each client's unique and specific goals for treatment.

Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process, encourage you, and empower you to achieve your unique treatment goals.

I generally check multiple times a day and respond as fast as I can. I appreciate your patience when it takes a bit of time to respond, as I may be assisting other clients or professional/ personal responsibilities.

You can also book a live session with me ahead of time. Please remember that BetterHelp (or specialty site!) is not appropriate if you are in crisis or in immediate need of support. In crisis situations, please call 911 or local emergency services. You can also call 1-800-273-TALK (8255) to talk to someone right away!" You can also utilize 988, the national crisis line.

I look forward to working with you!
