About me

I earned my Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Studies from The Ohio State University and a Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University. For over 15 years, I have served and supported people of all ages. My areas of focus have been people facing difficult transitions such as becoming a parent, parenting a child with a developmental disability, starting college or a new job, getting diagnosed with a serious and/or chronic medical condition, divorce, or loss of a loved one. I utilize a non-judgmental and relaxed approach to help my clients feel safe and at ease. I also utilize a strengths-based approach as I believe each person has their own strengths and talents that can be used help make the changes they want to see. The client-clinician relationship should be collaborative. While I may have years of experience, you are the expert in your needs and your story. You are worthy of dignity, respect, and feeling however you want to feel. You matter! I look forward to working with you!

Amy is graceful and willing to make things work if you’re willing to do your due diligence! I had trouble at first and she was patient with me and got me going with being new to therapy

Amy has been phenomenal at listening, asking the right (sometimes difficult!) questions, and providing exercises. I feel as if she knows me and my needs and works well with them. She is encouraging and funny — which is a huge bonus to laugh during therapy. I would highly recommend!

Amy is great match for me. She is familiar with many of my struggles as a working mom and seems to know what to say to keep my mind focused on the right things. She shares parts of her life to help me understand, and I'm confident that the progress I've made in my mental health is because of her. Thanks Amy!
