About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the the states of Vermont, Massachusetts, Texas and Florida with over 21 years of experience in the mental health field. I have worked with clients to address numerous issues, including anxiety, depression, autism, life coaching, stress management, relationship issues, family conflict, parenting challenges, as well as coping with the life challenges we can all experience at one time or another. I have also worked extensively with individuals coping with multiple chronic health issues.

My counseling style is warm and supportive. I believe that seeking help through counseling is insightful, self-caring and requires vulnerability. I believe in treating everyone with compassion, respect and sensitivity and am respectful of the individual journey that brings us all to the present moment, along with its challenges and experiences. I believe that my clients are the experts in their own lives, and see my role as one of acting as a resource for suggestions and guidance. I believe in maintaining unconditional positive regard and acceptance of where each individual is with the understanding that we all do the best we can in the course of our daily lives. I also believe that we can always improve our mindset, perspective and the way we engage with our lives for the better. My approaches include cognitive-behavioral, client-centered, solution-focused and behavioral. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.

It takes courage to seek for a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. If you are ready to take that step I am here to support and empower you. Together, we can work to achieve your goals.

I look forward to working with you!

I love working with Ana. I was so scared to start therapy, but she held my hand the entire way through. Now I am completely comfortable, and recommending therapy to friends.
