About me

I am licensed in Maryland with over 14 years of professional work in private practice. I have experience in helping clients with a variety of different problems including stress and anxiety, trauma, depression, & coping with life changes. Often individuals enter therapy with a number of issues they wish to work to address. I am a therapist who interacts with my clients in a collaborative manner in setting goals related to working on all the issues that brought them into therapy. My first treatment goal is to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Dr Wheeler has been integral in helping me combat some very stressful situations and maneuver through some difficult times. She listens with intent, she offers multiple suggestions or remedies or tools so that I can identify which one (or ones) work the best for me, she follows up to see how I'm doing, and she's always super friendly and comforting. I feel like I am in a much better place after my sessions with Dr Wheeler.
