About me
Life is challenging! I am passionate about helping people to examine and navigate those challenges. I began my professional life as an engineer and switched careers to follow my deep desire to work with people. Together we can create a space to navigate between acceptance and change. As Carl Rogers noted "the curious paradox is that when I accept myself as I am, then I change.” I aspire to bring warmth and empathy to meet you where you are along with tools for change to help you get to where you want to go.
I draw from a variety of frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Internal Family Systems. I have experience facilitating trauma informed groups and have witnessed the healing power of sharing your story in a safe space. I am also passionate about working with couples to improve communication and develop emotional intimacy and healing. Together we can develop helpful strategies based on mindfulness, exploring core beliefs, examining life narratives and honoring values.
