Anthony Kesner, LMFT
About me
My practice is based on the understanding that the degree of enjoyment and happiness in each of our lives are closely tied to the quality of our relationship with our self and our relationships with others.
If you are experiencing a lack of inner peace, of enjoyment and happiness in your life and relationship (s), or if this has been a pattern in your past relationships that you desire to resolve, I encourage you to contact me.
I am a seasoned therapist with over 25 years of experience, that has ranged from helping persons living in the inner-city of Chicago as they learned to recover from an addiction and abuse/ trauma- related experiences, to helping families displaced from Hurricane Katrina, as well as working with men and their families, teaching and coaching the development of improved self-image, interpersonal, and fathering skills to heal and re- build their relationships affected by sexual, emotional, physical abuse, and neglect in their family histories. Of course, over the years I have had many persons with less severe issues and focus on here-and-now concerns that are affecting their quality of life. Whether you choose short-term or longer-term counseling I have expertise in multiple therapy modalities but always view each person with a multi-cultural lens so I may understand each person in the contexts of which they experience their own unique life.
I offer you a warm, non- judgmental, honest atmosphere that invites you to explore your relationship strengths and build new skills that can enhance your current, as well as future relationships where you can experience the joy, warmth, and happiness you seek and deserve.

I enjoy working with Tony. He is understanding and listens to what I am saying. Therapy is daunting, so having someone to listen and validate your feelings is important.
