April Murray-Bravo, LMFT
About me
Hello, here are a few things about me. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist licensed in Texas with more than 8 years of experience in a variety of settings and individuals with a wide range of issues. I work with men and women to address issues and bring focus to present and future goals. Couples, various relationship dynamics and individuals to identify challenges and reach goals.
We all experience human conditions that can be difficult to navigate like depression, anxiety, relationship issues, parenting problems, career challenges, addiction, and processing trauma, to name a few. You don't have to navigate it alone.
My counseling style is warm and interactive. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in stigmatizing labels so I focus on what my client needs. I use many theories like cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and psychodynamic to name a few, and provide an open and safe environment to explore your concerns without pressure or judgment. Because we all process information differently we will work together to develop a plan of action tailored to your strengths, goals, and needs.
It takes courage to reach out and want something more for yourself, and your life. Taking the first step toward change can be challenging. If you are ready I am fully committed to working hard with you from beginning to success.
I look forward to working with you!

She is a great therapist and a great human being overall when we used to do the messaging I used to look over her messages to make me feel better. She listens and is very understanding

April really helps untangle inner thoughts and gets down to the reason of why you're struggling...no ifs ands or buts. It's helpful to talk to her and she sends lots of helpful resources to read and watch between sessions.

She is very insightful and understanding. She takes my feelings into consideration and tries to play devil's advocate sometimes while also at times tries to say I am not the one always wrong. She is someone who supports me and I hope to continue using in the future.
