About me

I am a Ph.D. psychologist and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker licensed in the state of New Jersey with over 20 years of experience helping people like you. I have extensive training in family and systems therapy. I use cognitive behavioral therapy in my work with clients. I am also a certified life coach. I start with you and your concerns and help you achieve your goals. My goal is to enhance your life and enable you to live the life you are looking for.

Although I have worked with children and adolescents, I focus my efforts on adults and the stresses that come with being in adult relationships. That includes marriage and relationship issues, work/family balance, living with family members with mental illness, cross-cultural issues and adjustment, as well as depression, and anxiety. I have worked extensively with adult survivors of childhood trauma.

I use a great deal of positive psychology in my work. I will listen carefully, strive to understand and adjust the sessions according to your needs and abilities. Nonetheless, I will encourage you to take steps to reach your goals and objectives. If you suffer from depression or anxiety, I will not only try to make you undepressed or non-anxious, I will work with you to find meaning, joy, and happiness. If you are confused or looking for direction, we will work to help you find the confidence you need.

Engaging in therapy takes a lot of work. Change, even improvement, requires effort. My job is to guide, give direction, and support. Your job is to reflect, think, and help me know you and your situation better. Together we can work "miracles".

I would love to work with you to help you meet your goals.

Dr. Hahn has been incredibly understanding and accommodating in my brief time working with him - willing to engage with me on my level and in whatever manner I’m most comfortable with. After having trouble finding a good fit with therapists here on BetterHelp, my experience with him has given me renewed faith in the service, and I’m much more likely to recommend the app to others as a direct result of our interactions.

I have been working with Dr. Hahn for about 2 months now. He is the best doctor/therapist I have ever worked with, which says a lot because I have gone through so many doctors and therapists for the last 18 years. And none come even close to how great he is. He gives me great insight about things I wouldn't even have guessed. He also takes things one step at a time and digs deep about an issue. He goes underneath the superficial layer of an issue, which i really like. He is also very funny and makes you feel relaxed. I have cancelled on him in the past and because he actually cares about his patients he made time to have a live session with me. He always gets back to me throughout the week when i message him. He gives homework and worksheets too, to help me make progress with my mental issues. He also attends every live session that is scheduled. And most importantly, is that he is understanding and kind. I highly recommend him for anyone. Thanks Dr. Hahn for everything! You are the best :)

Dr. Hahn is great! He is excellent in his ability to pull out the issues from the information I give him. At times I am outright amazed at his ability to do that. He is a great source of support to me. I highly recommend him!

Dr. Hahn in a short period of time was able to understand me and recognize what I needed to help myself and get to my breakthrough point. He has helped me through years of trauma in a short period of time. He has been beyond professional and helpful to me every session I have had with him. He is absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend him!
