Ashley Goetsch, LMHC
About me
I am a mental health counselor licensed in the state of Florida with 8 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in a variety of settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, private homes, and addiction treatment centers. I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Southeastern University and a Master of Science degree in Mental Health Counseling from Nova Southeastern University.
I utilize an eclectic therapeutic approach catered to the individual needs of the client; drawing techniques from client-centered, cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, adaptive information processing (AIP) theory, and other evidence based treatment models. I have training in trauma-focused cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, play therapy, and adoption competency. Currently, I work in private practice and provide treatment for a range of symptoms and disorders, including anxiety and depression, mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, abuse, adjustment disorders, grief and loss, addiction, self-esteem/body image issues, and adoption related issues.
I am passionate about helping people heal and find hope. I believe that everyone’s journey is unique and important, and strive to provide a warm therapeutic atmosphere in which clients feel accepted and comfortable exploring their past and present difficulties. My goal is to empower my clients to make the positive changes they desire in order to live life to the fullest.
I am honored to be a part of your journey and look forward to working with you!
