Ashley McGarity, LMHC
About me
Hi! I am a licensed mental health therapist (LMHC) who has extensive experience working with adults who struggle with issues related to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder or symptoms of inattentiveness, inability to focus, emotional regulation, and anxiety related ADHD. I also specialize in anxiety disorders and use a combination of CBT and DBT skill sets to cope with life's challenges as well as existentialism to explore one's sense of purpose, values, and to help them become the best versions of themselves. And I also work with relationship challenges by helping people with healthy and assertive communication, boundary setting, understanding their own needs in relationships, and attachment related issues.
In my work, I value my client's ability to advocate for themselves and to embrace and celebrate their individuality. I do not operate from a "one size fits all" approach. I work with the individual client to develop habits, strategies, skills, and ideas that are tailored to who they are as an unique individual and with their own unique needs and interests. I have helped many clients grow to understand themselves better and become more confident in knowing who they are and in how they communicate and relate to others.
By peeling back the layers and understanding how the past manifests in the present and learning the tools necessary to deal with irrational beliefs and maladaptive thought patterns, one can truly become the best version of themselves and live their best life filled with what is important to them.
If you are ready to take the next step to living a life of authenticity and self love, I would love to guide you on that journey. Please reach out, I would love to hear from you!

Ashley is one of the best therapists i have ever had. One out of two great therapists I have had in my life, and I have spoken with quite a few therapists throughout the years. Ashley is professional, knowledgeable, helpful, supportive, and caring. She makes you feel like you can handle the daily struggles of personal trauma and self doubt. I am so glad I found such a great therapist and can finally start to heal from all of the painful memories of neglect in my childhood.

In the labyrinth of life's challenges, I stumbled upon Ashley McGarity that transformed my journey into a path of self-discovery and resilience. My experience with Ashley McGarity, an extraordinary therapist, has been nothing short of life-changing so far, and I am compelled to share the profound impact she has had on my well-being.
It is evident that she approaches her work with a deep commitment to helping others navigate the complexities of their inner worlds.
She not only hears the words spoken but also captures the unspoken nuances, providing a level of insight that goes beyond surface-level understanding. This skillful listening, coupled with her astute observations, creates a space where one can authentically explore thoughts and emotions without judgment. Instead of offering ready-made solutions, she guides her clients towards discovering their own strengths and resilience. This empowerment-centric approach has been a game-changer in my personal growth, allowing me to confront challenges with newfound strength and self-assurance.

Ashley really has started to help me make changes. I have suffered for many years and I’m not the easiest to understand at times. This requires a patience level I have found few times over the years in therapy. She has this along with sound advice and true compassion. If you’re reading this post, book the appointment!
