About me
Life can be challenging, am I right?
Perhaps we all need a little help working through these challenges.
I am a Nationally Certified and Professional Counselor with experience treating Drug and Alcohol and Mental Health challenges and obstacles you and others may face.
My belief is we all have the ability to make changes and improvements in our lives, and some of the most challenging experiences can lead to valuable insights and the opportunity for self-growth.
I also respect we all have differences, therefore, being seen and heard without judgement by another can be one of the most healing experiences we can have.
My goal is to empower you to find solutions, learn new ways, explore your strengths, work toward healing from past experiences, and stay focused on becoming the best version of yourself that you can be.
I wish to be a collaborative guide who helps you gain self-awareness, view your thoughts and life in a more positive way, and develop strategies to cope and regulate your emotions in a healthy manner. I will encourage you through the process of gaining greater self-confidence, self-compassion, a stronger sense of identity, and trusting your own decisions.
I consider myself to be a strong community and social services professional who holds a Master of Arts - MA focused in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and a Bachelor of Arts - BA focused in Clinical Mental Health Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania.
I draw from many evidence-based theories, including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy; Person-Centered Therapy; Emotion-Focused Therapy; Trauma-Focused Therapy; Psychodynamic Therapy; Dialectical Behavioral Therapy; Narrative Therapy, and Mindfulness practices.
I've worked with clients aged 4 through 88 experiencing depression, anxiety, stress, addiction, ADHD, trauma, loss, behavioral, emotional, and developmental challenges, among others.
"Before every session I take a moment to remember my humanity. There is no experience this man has I cannot share with him, no fear I cannot understand, no suffering I cannot care about, because I too am human." -Carl Rogers

Ashley is the best therapist I've had so far, and I have had several. She is flexible and knowledgeable, and able to meet me where I'm at. She also is good at focusing the session on what is important, whether that's what has come up for me during the week or something else. She asks great questions and listens when I talk. She takes me seriously and also pushes me. I'm so grateful to have found her!

Ashley's work approach with trauma has been life-changing for me. Her persistant acceptance of complex feelings with persistent, attentive listening has given me the space and feedback I need to confront childhood trauma and analyze how it has continued to affect me as an adult. I asked Ashley for the really deep, vulnerable kind of therapy—the kind where you have to confront your deepest fears and intense emotions. I got that. Ashley is the best therapist I have ever had.

Working with Ashley is a great experience. She’s attentive, compassionate, and insightful. For the first time in decades, I really feel like I’m making progress with my therapy goals.

Ashley has been patient with me as I discussed many life changing issues. Our sessions brought me more self awareness and self compassion. It allowed me to take a step back to not blame my self for every single thing that goes wrong in life. (I’m still working on it). During the times I felt like I had no one to talk about my issues - Ashley was someone I could confide in and vent to. She listened to me like a friend, tried to understand where I am coming from without judging or assuming. She directly communicated with me by making me feel safe and comfortable enough to open up about my life. Thank you Ashley being a part of my the crazy life changes during the last 6 months!

I’ve only been seeing Ashley for a couple weeks but I have complete faith that I can make progress with her. I haven’t connected with any past therapist the way I’ve connected with her. She is a great listener but also knows when to chime in. She is very perceptive and knows exactly how to lead a productive session. There is a great balance between listening and talking. Ashley is very kind and I leave every interaction feeling more hopeful.
